As health professionals, our clinical team has received the COVID-19 vaccine for your protection. Working in close proximity, your safety is our priority.
At Southwest Dental Arts, we are well-prepared with solid safety practices during the Coronavirus pandemic that exceed current industry standards.
What to expect during your visit:
Please do not enter our office if you are experiencing symptoms or think you could be carrying the COVID-19 Coronavirus. We will ask you some screening questions.
When you arrive for your appointment, please stay in your car and call or text us to check in. Our number is (208) 322-5655. This reduces the time spent in office. We are also installing upgraded reminders and forms that can be filled out on your own computer or on your phone. This is currently a work in progress, so please be patient with us as we optimize this option.
We will ask you to go to the sink and wash your hands when you first arrive. We clean touch points frequently. Our team follows the same precautions for you.
We will take your temperature when you arrive. Our team follows the same precautions for you.
Our office is equipped with top-level HEPA air filters in the reception area and the treatment area that constantly clean and freshen the air during your visit.
Our office air and surfaces are sanitized with Ozone every night.
In addition to our standard sterilization protocol, your room is sanitized with the same antiviral mist that is used to sanitize cruise ships and crowded cities.
You will be given an antiviral mouthrinse before we begin. This reduces the viral load in your mouth. In case you are unknowingly carrying the virus, it will be less likely to spread to others during your visit.
We will use high volume intraoral suction if we use anything that produces an aerosol. If you have had restorative procedures with us, you are familiar with this system. This suction removes 90+% of particles from the air.
Our team has all of the personal protective equipment (PPE) that they need to feel comfortable treating you. They will greet you wearing a mask if we expect to be closer than 6 feet away from each other.
Most importantly, we are secure enough with our protocols to have fun! Our caring team is highly skilled and trained. We take our work and all of our safety very seriously while keeping our attitude light.
Looking forward to seeing you at your next visit!
At our comprehensive exam, and at all checkup exams, we look at the function of your bite, check your mouth for any unusual lumps and spots, evaluate your teeth and gums, and look at your smile. Our mission is to build trusting friendships with our patients and to offer customized recommendations for you the same as we would offer our own family and friends.

Our Happy Patients
Really nice office. Great staff. Love the coffee and massage chairs in the waiting room!
Dr. Harless always takes excellent care of my teeth. She makes sure to address anything that could become a problem. The hygienist did a thorough and gentle cleaning.
My visits are always relaxed and professional. Dr. Harless discusses what she thinks is needed for my teeth (and why) then we make the decisions together. My wife and I have been going there for years and the entire staff is great to work with.
